We are currently looking to hire a Financial Controller/ Gen. FM to be based in Sharjah, UAE  for our client which is a globally recognized metal expert with operations extending throughout Middle East, Far East, South East, Europe &. Their main focus is on procurement, processing and recycling all kinds of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Through their globally networked operations, they do extensive international buying and selling of all kind of ferrous & non-ferrous scrap items like Copper, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Brass, Zinc, Lead and more.


Designation: Finance Controller/Gen.FM

Reporting to : Senior Management

Location : Sharjah, UAE


Key Roles and Responsibility


·       FUNDS PLANNING- Daily funds planning for HO and other branch offices by optimum utilization of WC.

·       Maintaining fund flow statement, controlling receivables and timely payments of loan maturities

·       Effective working capital management by monitoring debtors and daily stock position at various ports.

·       MIS reports – ANALYZING  periodic via Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly MIS reports required by the management

·       Costing –MONTHLY  Calculation & Monitoring Cost and margin analysis

·       Foreign Trade – Very good knowledge of Export and Import Documentation knowledge & its FLOW

·       Trade Finance Banking- Liaison with the banks for Trade finance transactions on daily basis, open LCs/TR, monitor charges and comply all the requirements

·       Reconciliation - To ensure monthly  reconciliation of all the receivable, payable and related party ledgers/companies

·       Audit - To ensure  the interim & annual statutory audit done timely

·       Branch outside UAE: Companies outside UAE to be controlled and monitored.

·       Tax knowledge  and  experience in UAE

·       Other responsibilities - may be added depending upon the business requirements.




  • CA or MBA in finance
  • LEADERSHIP QUALITY: Should be able to cordially head a team of 5-6 senior accounts dept and 2-3 admin dept.
  • ANALYTICAL SKILLS very important.  Added advantage if knowledge of hedging and risk management.
