Senior Coal Trader/ Physical Coal Trading – (Thermal Coal, Steam Coal, China, India and South East Asia), Marketing, Energy, Origination, Import, Commodities, Gypsum, Limestone, Slag, Aggregate)
Location: Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
Salary: Highly Competitive: MENA Focus, Selling. Location; Dubai
We are currently working with a well renowned and respected mining company based in UAE with their coal sales team headquartered Dubai who are seeking an experienced physical coal trader to lead their operations for the region. This offers the opportunity for the incumbent to build up a business and play an impactful role within the company and ultimately lead the region. The position requires 10+ years working experience in the commodity industry with an overall 10 years experience in related functions, mainly within physical coal trading. Must have experience in the MENA markets and have a strong network of clients.
Responsibilities:
- Physical coal trading experience across MENA, GCC and South Asian markets.
- Must have a proven track record / profitable experience trading the markets / established client base.
- Have a decent P&L record and can maintain a steady volume of business per month in $USD.
- Fundamental analysis & exposure to risk management.
- Help to grow, build and develop new business pipeline / market share across Asia.
- Must be hard working, performance orientated and results driven.
- Fast thinking, excellent communicator and good negotiator.
- Exceptional team player.
- Be willing to be based in Dubai.
- Hard working and committed, be prepared to go the extra mile.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience within physical thermal coal trading functions.
- Polytechnic Diploma / Degree holder.
- Competent in word, excel, PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills; a detailed and organized person who can work with “team”.
- Must speak English, any additional language such as Arabic and Hindi is a plus as you will be dealing within those markets.
