Our client is a leading distribution company with a longstanding reputation and history of operating in the UAE. The are seeking to hire a General Manager with strong experience in chemical plastic distribution within the GCC and will be responsible for sales and marketing of marketing Specialty Chemicals, Masterbatch, Additives and Compounds. The position is based in Dubai, UAE.
Candidate Requirements:
• 10 years of successful managerial and sales experience in the industry
• Preferably managed sales for more than one country including UAE, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the GCC.
• Ability to identify and cater to market demand
• Strong existing relationships with customers in different sales channels. Should have relationships with FMCG / Pharma manufacturers and packaging companies
• Good communication skills, effective problem-solving skills and must be able to provide leadership to the division.
• Preferably have Chemical Engineering Degree
• Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Masterbatch, Additives and Compounds
Some of the key responsibilities include:
• To help create the way forward in terms of formulating a detailed Business plan, Human Resource Planning, Sales Planning, and expansion within the Region
• Attracting Principles and creating strong partnerships with International Suppliers
• Periodic Sales Analysis and Action Plans
• Managing Key Accounts within the GCC and beyond
• Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency
• Analyzing and taking action on Key Performances Indices for different aspects of the business
• Coordinating with Accounts for receivables, deliverables, cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet, petty cash
Assist in recruitment process by Identifying, Interviewing, and Approving candidates for various positions in different departments
