Our client is a leading regional building  materials manufacturer for tiles and insulated concrete forms. They are seeking a General Manager to be based in Oman and is responsible for the strategy, leadership, management and driving business growth in Oman. The General Manager reports to the Board of Directors.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Strong experience in the building material manufacturing industry - preference for tile manufacturing
  • Executive knowledge of profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow management and budgeting
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive work in leadership positions. Previous background in sales
  • Experience working in the GCC
  • Should have led organizations of 100 plus employees and managed annual revenues preferably greater than $ 15 million per annum
  • Experience with understanding and supporting scorecard
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is preferred

Some of the key responsibilities include:
  • Provide visible leadership and example company-wide
  • Ensure execution and refine business strategies and plans ensuring their
  • alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
  • Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a
  • high performing managerial team
  • Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements
  • Support the Omanization objectives of the company

Some of the Key Tasks with the Board and CFO include:
  • Prepare the annual business plan for all SBUs
  • Oversee the company's fiscal activity including budgeting, reporting, cashflow and maintaining key ratios
