client in the FMCG industry is looking to hire Finance Manager in Baghdad-
Iraq, Iraqi national with experience of at least 5 years in Finance in the FMCG
industry. This position is responsible for handling of routine day to day
functions of accounting, finance, tax,
and auditing etc. in the organization. Analyses
of business performance, behavior, contribution in formulation of business
strategies and planning for identification of opportunities to drive
· Preparing Monthly
Financial Statements for management and evaluating it against budgets, rolling
forecast and previous year comparatives to understand the variances and it’s reasoning.
· Preparing monthly
Financials by each principal to understand the performance of each under CFO
· Ensuring the
Reconciliation for the Balance Sheet Items at month end to keep the books and records
accurate and complete for accurate financials.
· Reviewing Bank
Reconciliation statements and Bank Borrowing’s Covenants on monthly basis to
ensure correct and matched balances and compliance of covenants of borrowings.
· Ensuring daily cash
reconciliation for cash books with GL balance and physical cash.
· Handling daily cash
& bank movement for deposits, internal and foreign transfer considering payment
· Handling forex deals for
currency exchange and receipts from customers to be as per market rate.
· Supervising the
accounting activities and approving key general transaction of accounting, ensuring
proper booking, regular posting in software, complete with adequate back up and
· Supervising fixed assets
schedule additions, depreciations and reconciling it with GL.
· Conducting profitability
analysis monthly based on product category, branches, customer categories &
· Coordinating with sale
team for sales finance activities like promotion budgets, periodical rebates,
compensations and expiries.
· Supervising commercial
finance and coordinating with sales for promotion claims from principal.
· Controlling account
payables balances and coordinating with principal and suppliers for timely
payments where prioritizing payments subject to discount.
· Approving expenses if
authorized by management under delegation of approvals
· Frequently visiting the branches for
audit and developing staff of finance and relationship with other branch
· Working with IT and other department
for ERP optimization under guidance of CFO.
· Training local finance and accounts
staff and improving their skills across all branches.
· Serving as bridge between team and
CFO for better, smooth and affective F&A department.
